May Workshops with Barbara Whitehouse

Barbara Whitehouse will be visiting Te Anau in early May to run two workshops. The first being held on the afternoon of Friday May 6th will be an introduction to chair yoga and is speciifcally aimed at those who find it uncomforatble being seated on the ground or unable to stand for long periods. Chair Yoga is a very safe place to start exploring the beneifits of yoga, both physically and psychologically. A few seated beginning poses can still build strength, increase circulation and oxygenation. Chair yoga, considered a gentler form of yoga, uses a chair for additional support. Most of the exercises are done while sitting on, leaning on or holding onto a chair, making it a great way to practice yoga for people of all ages and those with limited mobility.
